Meet Danielle Tye

I see the pattern
you can’t see yet.

Executive coach, former product and technology leader, and the person who’ll ask you the question you’ve been avoiding.

A woman with blonde hair and glasses sitting outdoors on a wooden bench, wearing a black and white checkered dress, with potted plants and brick buildings in the background.
Founder, Activate Edge

15 years leading teams.
Now I lead the leaders.

I spent 15 years leading product and technology teams — building strategy, shipping at scale, and navigating the particular pressure that comes with senior leadership. I know what it feels like to look successful from the outside while running on reflexes that don’t fit anymore.

I founded Activate Edge for the leaders who are successful enough to keep going the way they are — and self-aware enough to know they shouldn’t. I work at the intersection of leadership identity and performance, helping Directors, VPs, and C-suite executives examine the reflexes they’ve never questioned and build something they’d actually choose.

This isn’t coaching that gives you a better to-do list. It’s the work behind the work — the part most leaders have never had a real partner for.

The Trajectory

This work came from doing the work.

I’m not a career coach who discovered leadership from the sidelines. I lived it. I built the reflexes I now help leaders examine — and spent years untangling them in my own leadership before I was willing to help anyone else do the same.

2010–2025 Chapter 01

Product & technology leadership at scale.

Fifteen years leading teams through ambiguity, growth, and re-orgs. Strategy, hiring, shipping, firing, repair. I learned what senior leadership actually costs — and what gets rewarded versus what gets reinforced.

2023–2026 Chapter 02

Coach training at CTI and the ICF path.

Two years of intensive coach training at the Coaches Training Institute — the gold standard for identity-based coaching. CPCC completing July 2026. ICF membership and ACC candidacy, with a commitment to the discipline of the craft, not just the title.

Dec 2025 Chapter 03

Activate Edge begins.

Founded to serve a specific kind of leader — the one who’s successful, self-aware, and quietly unsettled about the reflexes running their leadership. I transition to Activate Edge full-time September 2026.

Apr 2026 Chapter 04

Midwest Leadership Summit, speaker.

Bringing the identity-gap framework to a broader room of leaders who sense that the playbook that got them here is expiring — and are looking for what comes next.

What I Believe

The principles behind the work.

These aren’t aspirations. They’re commitments. Everything I do — how I coach, who I take on, what I refuse to sell — follows from them.

  • The reader is the hero.

I’m not here to fix you. You’re not broken. I’m here to be the thought partner who sees the pattern you can’t see yet — and helps you design something better. The leadership architecture we build is yours, not mine.

  • Identity before strategy.

Most leadership development starts with skills. I start with who you are. Because the way you lead under pressure isn’t a strategy problem — it’s an identity problem. And you can’t design what you haven’t examined.

  • Architecture, not advice.

I don’t hand you a playbook. We build a leadership architecture together — something grounded in your values, tested in real situations, and designed to hold up when everything around you is shifting.

  • Self-knowledge is the edge.

In a world that’s automating everything except judgment, the leaders who thrive are the ones who know themselves well enough to lead with intention. Self-knowledge isn’t soft. It’s the strongest competitive advantage a leader can have.
